Waiver Data

When you create and use waivers, we collect:

  • Signer information (names, email addresses)

  • Signing timestamps and metadata

Usage Information

We automatically collect:

  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • IP addresses
  • Pages visited and features used

Newsletter Subscribers

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect:

Specific Technologies We Use

  • Google Tag Manager (GTM): A tag management system that loads other tracking scripts on our site. GTM itself does not collect personal data, but it facilitates the loading of tags that may.
  • Google Analytics: Collects anonymous usage data including pages visited, time on site, referral sources, and device information. Data may be processed in the United States.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel: Tracks page views and interactions on our website for the purpose of measuring ad effectiveness and building advertising audiences. When you provide information through forms on our site (such as your email address), this data may be hashed using SHA-256 encryption and sent to Meta for matching purposes ("Advanced Matching"). Meta may use this data to show you relevant advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. You can manage your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.

Service Providers

  • Convex - Database and backend infrastructure
  • Stripe - Payment processing (processes payment card data directly; we do not store card numbers)
  • Resend - Email delivery for transactional emails and newsletters
  • Google - Analytics and tag management (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)
  • Meta (Facebook) - Advertising measurement and audience creation (Meta Pixel)
  • Vercel - Website hosting and content delivery

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

Advertising Partners

We share hashed (encrypted, non-reversible) identifiers with advertising platforms such as Meta for the purpose of measuring ad effectiveness and creating targeted audiences. This data cannot be used to directly identify you and is processed in accordance with each platform's data policies. You can opt out of targeted advertising through the links provided in Section 1 above.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Waiver World, our users, or others.

Business Transfers

If Waiver World is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Completed waivers: Retained according to your organization's settings and legal requirements (typically 3-7 years for liability documents)
  • Newsletter subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe
  • Usage logs: Retained for up to 90 days
  • Advertising data: Pixel and tracking data is retained according to each platform's data retention policies (typically 180 days for Meta, 26 months for Google Analytics)

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Delete your account and associated data
  • Export: Download your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications
  • Opt-out of targeted advertising: Use the platform-specific opt-out links in Section 1 or enable "Do Not Track" in your browser

6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

  • Right to delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Right to opt-out of sale/sharing: We do not sell personal information. We share hashed identifiers with advertising platforms as described in Section 3. You may opt out of this sharing by using the advertising opt-out links in Section 1 or by contacting us.
  • Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

7. Do Not Track

Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. We respect DNT signals and will not load third-party tracking pixels when a DNT signal is detected. Note that some features related to personalized content may be affected.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
  • Data shared with advertising partners is hashed (SHA-256) before transmission
  • Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Waiver World is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers (including Google and Meta) operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
